OLGA the WOLVERINE
Early this morning we received a female wolverine from Novosibirsk Municipal Zoological Park in Russia. She was born Feb 12, 2014.
It took many months to arrange her transport and with the help of many people. Elena Larkin helped with communications with the Novosibirsk Zoo, and Jennie Becker with the Los Angeles Zoo met the wolverine at the LA airport and transferred her to Alaska Air Cargo.
We are now arranging to get a male from Sweden to be her potential future mate.
She is currently in quarantine but can be seen in the wolverine habitat by the lynx.
She is eating, drinking water, and exploring her habitat.
