The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Alaska Department of Fish and Game, U.S. Forest Service and Audubon Alaska joined with the Alaska Zoo to put on the 8th annual Christmas Bird Count for Kids on December 9th, 2017.

This citizen science program brings kids ages 6 and up in contact with experienced birders to help survey wild birds on zoo grounds.
